10 YEAR VISION
At East Mains Baptist Church, we seek to be passionate and devoted followers of Jesus Christ, transforming our neighbourhoods, work places and families.
Our vision is that when you meet someone from EMBC you are meeting someone who is in love with God with everything they have, loves God’s family unconditionally and loves their community with a selfless passion. Our aspiration is that by 2028, by the Holy Spirits Power, there will be over a thousand people gathering together to worship.
A Place to Worship
Our worship times are built on God’s transforming word, where we worship with passion, intimacy and pray with an expectation of encountering God through the power of the Holy Spirit. We want our own personal times with God to fuel our lives for Jesus so that we are consumed with a burning love for him.
A Place to Meet
EMBC sees itself as a family where we can all gather and belong together.
People are encouraged to build strong relationships through helping, supporting and reassuring each other as they do life together. We will flourish as disciples of Jesus through worship, prayer and studying the bible, in life groups, mentoring relationships and serving in teams.
A Place to Love
At EMBC loving people is a priority and we passionately believe that as a follower of Jesus will have a contagious overflow of love into their community. We are committed to serving the community, helping the poor, the disadvantaged and the socially excluded. Everyone will be equipped and able through the power of the Holy Spirit to show and share the love of Jesus with our neighbours, families, friends and colleagues.
During the year to September 2019 EMBC wants to engage 90% of the church on a discipleship pathway that will transform our lives in three ways:
Change your World.
The Senior leadership is continually reviewing the plan to achieve the Vision and set new goals in order that East Mains Baptist Church, seeks to be passionate and devoted followers of Jesus Christ, transforming our neighbourhoods, work places and families.
