Rainbows is for girls aged between five and seven, from all cultures and beliefs. We meet every Thursday between 6:15 and 7:15pm in The Village Centre Hall.
As part of the girl-guiding association, we work in close network with the Brownies group that runs in the church.
A highlight of a typical Rainbows evening is together time/ news time, where the girls can come together, show and tell with toys and stories that are important to them, and tell everyone of their exciting news. This encourages confidence and friendships through listening to each other.
We then either play games, do a craft or both. In this part of the evening the girls learn independence and social skills all the while having fun!
Our leaders gain great satisfaction from getting to know each of the girls and seeing their personalities and characters unfold, whilst they enjoy themselves with friends.
We charge £2 per week which covers costs for activities/resources and the girls’ annual subscription fee to girl-guiding.
