The Administration department supports the work of the other departments within the Fellowship. It is responsible for communication in its many forms, both within the fellowship and to the wider community.
We believe at East Mains that we are a relational church and feel we need to make sure that people can easily find out what we are as a church and how they can create and thereafter maintain and deepen the most important relationship ie with God and then their relationships with one another in the body of Christ.
On a practical level this involves maintaining the website, preparing notices, producing the newsletter (in paper and electronic form), maintaining the church calendar and the use of social media. The department is also responsible for arranging meetings, dealing with requests for membership, helping to prepare information, as well as arranging publicity and reporting to the church.
As part of its role, the department is also responsible for communicating to and corresponding with the Baptist Union of Scotland and other churches. Other duties including arranging stewarding, general duties on a Sunday (including room booking), office work and admin support for the pastors.
