The Boys’ Brigade’s proud history began in Glasgow on 4th October 1883. From Sir William Alexander Smith’s first company, the organisation has evolved into a world-wide movement. It’s worked with millions of children and young people for well over a century now.
Our very own 3rd EK Company has been running for over 50 years, and it’s the second oldest company in East Kilbride. Each section has its own trained officers and we make sure that that everyone has a Friday evening that will be both memorable and enjoyable. For example, we might take a trip to snozone or go rock climbing or we may receive a community visit from the police and fire brigade as part of our varied programme.
The 3rd EK Company runs 3 sections on a Friday night:
Anchors runs from 6:30pm – 7:30pm and is for boys in P1 to P3
Juniors runs from 6:30pm – 8:30pm and is for boys in P4 to P6
Company section from 7:30pm – 10pm and is for boys in P7 to S6
If you’d like to be part of the oldest uniformed youth organisation in the world and meet other boys your age with the same interests, please come down to the The Village Centre on any Friday night.
